The Ministers Pen

Just looking at the good ministers blog again. Its really leaves one with no opinion other than the fact Nelson sees only one side of an argument. Every post is a sly dig at something Nationalist or Catholic. Almost every case he makes is in direct response to a move by some nationalist organisation or another. Every thing he recommends is just the same. If the AOH jumped off a cliff I reckon Nelson would post for the OO to do the same.

It gets tiring reading some of his stuff displaying a narrow view of life in the North. He rarely posts anything of real importance For example what is he and his department doing about the 20,000 plus people in Housing Stress? Nothing much I would say. Actually I have asked him so will see how he responds.

His posts remind me of the DUP 20 years ago. Blaming the enemy for everything wrong in society. I see nothing there that attempts to bring people together everything I read gives me the opposite feelings, blog postings that continue to blame the enemy for all the problems, playign to the lowest auidence really. Oh look we cant walk past a chapel, but they can walk past a church!! But that doesn't help the problem just feeds the ignorance!! I actually dont think I have seen evidence of an orgional thought on the entire blog site form the minister really.

On the "to be fair" side he does approve osme comments. I assume those he feels comfortable taking on. Others he toally ignores, other than to disapprove of course!

  1. I have posted numerous comments to Nelson blog none have been shown. They are thoughtful articulate responses however he doesn't seem able to approve them, maybe because they highlight his one sided bigotry. Oh and on the subject of housing need his contribution, dismantling the NIHE as they stood up to him over the Red Sky debacle, they provide housing based on need, they have too many catholics working for them, he accuses them of being sectarian and they remind the DUP of why the exist in the first place.
